Our story
We were sitting on a bench in Bluffton, SC, when I nervously said to Kylie, “We’re really doing this, aren’t we?” Despite my experience leading teams, acquisitions, and an IPO, the thought of co-founding a startup terrified me. But Kylie, brimming with confidence, reassured me, “We’ve got this.” That’s the beauty of great colleagues and friends—they help you face the scary unknowns.
After working with Kylie before, I knew she was someone I could trust to dive into this venture. She’s all heart, a tireless worker, and a talented designer. Together, we kicked off research, seeking feedback from people who had recently started or ended jobs, or handled onboarding/offboarding. When nearly 40 people signed up in 48 hours, we knew we’d struck a nerve.
Our interviews revealed a clear problem: employee onboarding was severely lacking. HR teams were overwhelmed, and managers were stretched thin. We saw a gap for better tools to streamline onboarding. So, we dove deeper into entrepreneurship.
Today, we have a Google & Microsoft-approved app in production, solving the exact problems we uncovered. With a small but mighty team, we’re bootstrapping; building rapidly and meeting daily to push things forward. Starting something new is scary, but it’s thrilling when you're surrounded by an incredible team.
