Allboarder turns 1!

A year ago, Mariah and I were sitting on a bench somewhere in South Carolina processing the fact that we were going to actually start our own company. I had just been let go and wasn’t even sure I wanted to continue in product design and Mariah had been consulting and looking for her next leadership position. Yet, we really thought this idea had merit. What if we could not only build a better onboarding platform that set employees up for success but also create a company with a strong form of ethics, focusing on people first? At that moment, as we sat on that bench, we decided to build Allboarder.

From the initial idea validation, we followed human-centered guidelines and brainstormed ideas, testing solutions, and redesigning. In the span of roughly four months we went from a Figma design to having a minimally viable product & our marketing site live. Mariah & I then started to reach out to peers, friends, and our network to get people who would actually use the product to pilot it for us. Through our pilots we are learning more and more each day on additional features to add, iterations to make, and ways to improve our users’ lives through our app. What we thought would be a stellar onboarding tool, we learned can be easily used in all sorts of productivity from regular OKR planning meetings to offsite scheduling.

As Allboarder celebrates its first anniversary, Mariah and I have been reminiscing about our journey; it's been quite a ride! Our mission to empower leaders and support employees while building a human-centered company based on good ethics has kept us busy. As we continue to evolve and grow, we're committed to prioritizing people and automating the cadence of business for all. AND we’re not done yet! Reach out and beta with us—it's gonna be fun!
