2024 Allboarder Peeled

In the frenetic world of tech it’s easy to overlook progress and wins as we keep pursuing the next target. But Nate Walkingshaw, with whom I had the pleasure of learning from at Pluralsight, always did a fantastic job of pausing to help our teams recognize and celebrate our wins. Today I saw his 2024 recap post for Torus and it was the reminder I needed to pause and reflect on what our team at Allboarder was able to accomplish this past year.

  • We conducted research interviews and demos with over 265 customers and potential customers to decide what to build and how to fine tune our offering so it could deliver the most value to those who use it.

  • We received integration approval from Google and Microsoft, and were accepted into their startup programs, giving us free or reduced cost access to many of the tools and services we need.

  • We designed over 72 experiences for the application, 43 of which we delivered to make the app what it is today.

  • We built and released a 100% bootstrapped app that allows people to build and manage groups of calendar invites and tasks in a way that no other company has ever done.

  • We won 3rd place at a start-up competition which was judged by an impressive panel of professionals who saw promise in what we were able to do.

  • We launched a robust marketing site with help documentation that explores a plethora of use cases to make it easier for customers to imagine what is possible with Allboarder.

  • We launched our first marketing campaign, focusing on helping companies create a better employee onboarding experience, so new employees can achieve confidence in their role, faster.

  • We held our first official “Allsite” offsite in Atlanta to brainstorm company strategy, sales and marketing strategy, and refresh our product roadmap.

  • We took the stage at 10 events to share thought leadership in both the tech and HR spaces to encourage the next generation of technologists, designers, and leaders.

  • We welcomed our first “Allboarder Mentee,” into our mentorship program, designed to give young technologists a peek into what it’s like to work at a tech startup company.

Looking back, I’m so amazed at what our small and mighty team was able to build together in such a short twelve months. Fourteen smart people across ten states and three countries pitched in to get us to where we are today. Cheers to what we built last year, and so excited to see what we can accomplish in 2025!
